  • How long do the results of aesthetic treatments last?
The longevity of results can vary depending on the type of treatment and individual factors such as skin type, age, and lifestyle. Some treatments may provide immediate results that last for a few months, while others may require multiple sessions for optimal and longer-lasting outcomes.
  • Is there any downtime associated with aesthetic treatments?
The downtime associated with aesthetic treatments can vary depending on the procedure. While some treatments may have minimal to no downtime, others may require a few days for recovery. Your provider will discuss post-treatment care instructions and any potential downtime before undergoing any procedure.

  • How do I prepare for my Chemical Peel?
It's important to remember to apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily, especially when receiving facial treatments such as chemical peels. Refrain from using retinol for at least one week before your peel, and avoid facial exfoliants, brushes, scrubs, peel pads, AHA, and BHA products during this time. Minimize sun exposure as much as possible, and be sure to review the list of contraindications for chemical peels to ensure suitability for treatment. Depending on your tailored chemical peel, your Aesthetician may advise the use of retinol and hydroquinone products beforehand to minimize the risk of hyperpigmentation. Pro Tip: On the day of your peel, keep it simple. Don’t wear any makeup to your appointment. After gently cleansing that morning, apply moisturizer and SPF.
  • Am I eligible to receive a Chemical Peel?
The following conditions are considered to be chemical peel contraindications, and you may not be eligible for a peel if one or more of the following applies to you. Contraindications to chemical peels must always be discussed with your skincare professional. If you have a concern, always ask your Aesthetician prior to receiving a peel. Use of Accutane®, Retin-A®, or other medications that exfoliate or thin the skin within 6 months Recent cosmetic surgery, laser resurfacing, deep or medium depth chemical peels or dermabrasion Severe rosacea or acne Easily scars or has hyper-pigmentation tendencies Pregnancy – always consult with your obstetrician prior to receiving chemical peels Breast-feeding Sunburn or irritated skin Open sores or lesions Infectious disease Active Herpes simplex Diabetes High blood pressure Heart disease Deficient immune system Permanent cosmetics– it is recommended to wait seven days then cover with occlusive barrier
  • How do I prepare for my Microneedling Appointment?
Preparing for microneedling is a crucial aspect of the procedure. Adequate preparation ensures optimal results and minimizes the risk of potential complications. Before undergoing microneedling, it's crucial to ensure your skin is in a calm, neutral state. Simplify your skincare routine to achieve this. Refrain from exfoliating for seven days leading up to your appointment. If you're using acne medications, consult your Aesthetician to confirm your eligibility for the procedure. Additionally, avoid applying topical retinoids and antibiotics for at least a week beforehand, and refrain from taking over-the-counter pain medications like ibuprofen, as they may hinder proper healing. Make sun protection a priority by wearing sunscreen on your face for two weeks before your appointment. Lastly, avoid shaving, waxing, or using hair removal products on your skin in the week leading up to your treatment.
  • Microneedling Post-Treatment Instructions
Following your Microneedling procedure, your service provider will instruct you on the proper post-treatment care for your skin to maximize your results. It's important to refrain from taking anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen (Motrin or Advil) for one week. Avoid icing your face or using arnica or bromelain, as they may interfere with the natural inflammatory process crucial for skin rejuvenation. Avoid sun exposure and tanning for two weeks, and after 24 hours, apply a full spectrum sunscreen SPF30 or higher every two hours when exposed to sunlight, and wear a hat. Use Tylenol as needed for any soreness. DAY 1-3: During the first three days, expect a sunburn-like effect, tightness, dryness, and sensitivity to touch. Wash your skin gently with a mild cleanser, cool water, using your hands only, and pat dry no earlier than four hours after treatment. Redness, sensitivity, and small bruising may occur, with bruising lasting up to 5-7 days and swelling for 2-4 days depending on the intensity of treatment. Adjust your social calendar accordingly and avoid strenuous exercise, jacuzzis, saunas, or steam baths for 48 hours. Use only mineral makeup after 24 hours, and sleep on your back with the head elevated to minimize swelling or pain. DAY 3-7: Peeling may begin 3-5 days post-treatment, accompanied by skin dryness and flaking due to increased skin cell turnover. Refrain from picking, scratching, or scrubbing treated skin, and moisturize continuously with Hyaluronic serum and any take-home products your Aesthetician provided. DAY 5-7: You can reintroduce your regular skincare products and Retin-A once your skin is no longer irritated. Many patients continue to notice skin improvement for months after their last treatment. For optimal results, follow up with repeat treatments in 4-6 weeks, with a series of 3-5 treatments based on your personalized skincare plan. • Am I eligible for Microneedling?
Like all skincare services, certain individuals must take additional safety precautions with microneedling. There are specific conditions that may either disqualify individuals from undergoing microneedling altogether or require clearance from a medical professional beforehand. Your Aesthetician will do a thorough consultation with you beforehand to ensure your eligibility. Some of contraindications include: Abnormal skin conditions - If you have abnormal skin conditions such as cold sores (Herpes Simplex virus), bruised skin, contagious skin conditions, active acne, fungal infections, rashes, or skin cancer, it's essential to consult your medical professional before starting microneedling. While having these skin conditions doesn't necessarily rule out microneedling, precautions must be taken to avoid exacerbating any existing issues. Therefore, seeking medical advice beforehand is crucial. Keloid scarring - Individuals with a history of keloid scarring (raised scarring) should also consult their medical professional before undergoing microneedling. Since microneedling induces a trauma/healing response in the skin, it may trigger an undesirable reaction in individuals prone to keloid scarring. Medications - If you're taking medications such as accutane, antibiotics, antidepressants, medications causing photosensitivity, or medications for high blood pressure, it's imperative to consult your medical professional before starting microneedling. While some medications may disqualify you from microneedling altogether, others may allow for microneedling under careful supervision. It's essential to confirm suitability with your doctor before proceeding. Cosmetic treatments - Individuals undergoing cosmetic treatments such as chemical peels, laser procedures, cosmetic surgery, filler injections, or Botox should wait until their skin fully recovers before considering microneedling. Consult your medical professional to ensure microneedling will not interfere with the results of your cosmetic procedures. Prioritizing safety and seeking medical guidance before starting microneedling is crucial to ensure optimal outcomes and minimize potential risks.
